We sat on a bench which overlooks the shore near Dunrobin Castle and watched some immigrants....
....first a large flock of sand martins, the first we've seen this year, swooping and twisting as they hunted insects along the beach and out across the seaweed encrusted rocks exposed by the tide, and then........a lone osprey which performed a stately flypast as it worked its way north against the wind. Perhaps it's one of the Loch Fleet population, perhaps it's returning to its territory further north.Welcome back from Africa!
