With so many rabbits around it was inevitable that the local raptors would get into the act. For the last few days we've had a pair of buzzards wheeling and calling over the rabbits' field, and they've been joined by....
....a pair of red kites. The two pairs met this morning and we had the pleasure of watching....
....some interesting aerobatics, further enlivened by the arrival of a couple of crows.
Meanwhile, in their field....
....the rabbits were keeping very low profiles, though, if they can't venture out in the day, they aren't at all shy about coming out at night, with several of them....
....venturing down our road to enjoy our neighbour's newly-laid, and probably very expensive turf.
Meanwhile, in our back garden - which the rabbits have yet to find, thank Goodness - one of our several pairs of siskins is now flying around with....
....noisy fledglings in tow.
All this is being watched by....
....Mr Grump our resident robin, who not only chases his own kind out of the garden but is brave enough to take on the largest of the blackbirds.
