Here's a unique post from this blog - one with no picture. It's a small, probably totally insignificant protest of regret that something which I and, I'm confident, many others have enjoyed over the last few years no longer works.
This link is to NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day where a photograph, usually of some object in space, is posted each day. Many of these pictures are stunning, and almost all of them open a window into the wonders of our universe.
There's a reason that this website is no longer updated, and it's to be found by selecting the last picture posted, on October 1st - here - and reading the sentence at the top of the page.
My heart goes out to the people who write this blog in their present very difficult circumstances but also because they probably obtain a great deal of satisfaction from knowing that it is so much enjoyed, and now missed, by others.
