We crossed the Golspie Burn this morning on our walk northwards along the old coast road, noticing that several of the rocks in its bed had....
....white bird droppings on them, something we associate with the presence of dippers. We used to see a dipper almost every time we crossed the footbridge but we haven't seen one since before the winter so hopefully this is a sign that they have returned.
Along the shore we found mares' tails recently sprouted and, in one of the wooded sections of the path....
....the first of this year's bluebells which, shortly, will form an unbroken blanket across the ground.
We also found another first, the first primroses in a spot which, every year, manages to be first with these flowers of spring.
