Snow Walk

One of the great advantages in living where we do is the variety of interconnected walks available from our front door enabling us to choose something which is appropriate - and safe - for the weather. So today's snow....

....blown in on a stiff westerly, saw us on one of our most frequent and easiest walks which takes us north along the ancient shore track to....

....Dunrobin Castle - bleakly deserted at this time of year - and then....

....along the main exit drive to connect with a path which....

....follows the top of Golspie Glen which gives views over our end of the village to Beinn Bhraggie.

The first signs of spring have been rather lost in the snow though it's still very evident that the snowdrops are putting on a fine show this year, but there are other indications of the changing season, including....

....a mass of blossoms on the flowering cherry in St Andrew's churchyard and, also in the churchyard, the first....

....lesser celandine of the year.
