With yesterday's forecast like this who could resist a prompt start to Littleferry for a walk on the beach, where we were greeted by....
....four excited stonechats - and they had every reason to be cheerful for....
....the beach looking one way was irresistible, as was....
....the beach looking the other.
With low tide due at 11am we watched....
....about fifty oystercatchers and rather fewer curlews, gulls and my favourite shore bird....
....sanderlings, as they probed the muddy sand for their morning meal.
We spent time strolling gently along the beach and enjoying the sun, at one point sitting on a log to watch the birds and wonder once again why only two other people, both walking their dogs, were out enjoying this beautiful beach.
