A Special Blue

Sometimes it's the very small things that lift a day and make it special. Today the weather helped, when sudden and totally unexpected holes began to appear in a dull overcast allowing the sun to come out. But on our walk along the track that skirts the sea to the north of us, Mrs MW suddenly spotted....

....the summer's first blue butterfly. It was 'only' a common blue but sightings of these little flying jewels are becoming increasingly rare up here, so nothing can be termed 'common' any more. From now on this should be a 'special blue'.
