We've had about two inches of snow in the last twenty-four hours with some of it beginning to drift and none of it melting so this morning's walk was a careful one along the coast below Dunrobin Castle, the main interest being....
....a ship at anchor offshore, sadly at the limit of my camera's capabilities.Ships are a rare sight from this stretch of coastline - I would guess that we've seen perhaps half-a-dozen in the last two years - so an appearance like this is always of interest. The MarineTraffic website tells me that she's the........Silver Dania, a Norwegian-registered palletised cargo ship built in 1989 en route from Tvoroyri in the Faroe Islands to St Petersburg. The Faroes-St Petersburg run seems to be a regular one for her, and one wonders what cargo she's carrying. Fish?
