....the rowans are as red with theirs, except these ones which are exotic Chinese white rowan berries, planted by the estate, and....
....the elderberries are just beginning to ripen nicely. So there's enough here to keep our local birds fit and fat right through the winter except....
....the news of this bounty must have reached Scandinavia because the fieldfares have already arrived and, given half a chance, they'll strip the branches bare long before Christmas.
